'Alla Prima' (Italian for 'at first attempt'), also known as wet-on-wet

is a painting technique where an art work is completed in one 

session while the paint is still wet.

Some famous artists are Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, 

Paul Cézanne, Berthe Morisot.
